img-blog CricBattle Daily Fantasy Cricket League Tips India vs Sri Lanka on January 5 India and Sri Lanka will play the second T20I of the three-match series on Thursday at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. The first game went to the wire as India defeated Sri Lanka by a mere margin of two runs. The Indian batters tried playing attacking cricket, but the wickets kept falling. By the end of the 15th over, India had lost five wickets and managed to post just 101 runs. The duo of Deepak Hooda and Axar Patel added 68 runs for the sixth wicket, which helped India post 162 runs on the board. Apart from Kasun Rajitha, Sri Lankan bowlers picked one wicket each, and the spinners played a key role. Sri Lanka lost two wickets before the completion of the powerplay, and by the end of the 11th over, half of the team was back in the pavilion. The lower middle order consisting of Dasun Shanka, Wanindu Hasaranga, and Chamika Karunaratne rescued the sinking ship. Sri Lanka required 13 runs in the last over to win. Karunaratne managed to hit a six on the third delivery to bring down the required runs to just five runs. However, Axar Patel gave just two runs on the last three balls to take the team home. Best economical pick – Shivam Mavi became only the third Indian bowler to pick a four-wicket haul on debut in T20Is in the first game. Mavi took four wickets for just 22 runs, the third-best bowling figure by an Indian bowler on debut. Top captains & vice captains – The left-handed batter Ishan Kishan smashed the fastest double-century in ODIs last year. In the first game, he made 37 runs off 29 deliveries and provided a solid start to the team. Wanidu Hasaranga picked the important wicket of Ishan Kishan in the first game and was the most economical bowler for Sri Lanka. With the bat, Hasaranga made 21 runs off ten deliveries, including one four and two sixes. Smart pick – Chamika Karunaratne had a great outing in the Lanka Premier League last month, making 109 runs at a strike rate of 162.68 and picking seven wickets in ten matches. He managed to play a similar role for the team in the first game with his knock of 23 runs off 16 deliveries. Cautious Pick – Charith Asalanka scored over 240 runs in the Lanka Premier League while batting in the top order. However, he is batting in the middle-order for Sri Lanka and has yet to be able to do much in the recent few matches. My XI – Ishan Kishan (Captain), Wanidu Hasaranga (Vice-Captain), Shivam Mavi, Chamika Karunaratne, Maheesh Theekshana, Suryakumar Yadav, Bhanuka Rajapaksha, Deepak Hooda, Hardik Pandya, Dasun Shanaka, Kusal Mendis
