India vs Nepal on September 4

India will be up against Nepal in the 5th match of the Asia Cup 2023 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy on September 4. Nepal had squared off against Pakistan in their last encounter, where Pakistan won the toss, and they elected to bat. Against a timid Nepal, Pakistan did not let go to score as many as they could. After losing their openers cheaply, Babar, Rizwan, and then Iftikhar punished every bowler that came in front of them as Pakistan finished with 342 on board. Nepal were never in the chase as they kept losing wickets and were easily bowled out for 104. Pakistan made a statement with a bossing win by 238 runs in the first match of the Asia Cup. 

 Best economical pick – Star Indian wicketkeeper batter Ishan Kishan could be the best batter in the side’s upcoming clash against Nepal. Kishan was on top of his game when India took on Pakistan. Scoring 82 runs in 81 deliveries, Kishan stabilized India’s innings and helped them post a reasonable total on the board.

Top captains & vice captains – Rohit Sharma could not make the most of the chance he had got in the last match, but the players of his calibre don't let the chance go away twice. He would be expected to perform well in this match. Virat Kohli was also not successful in the last game, but against an opposition such as Nepal, he would definitely perform well. He can be named captain of your side.

Smart pick – Sandeep Lamichhane is one of the best bowlers from Nepal, and his records depict that. He has picked up 112 wickets in 50 ODIs, where he has scored 367 runs as well.
