India vs England on November 10

India will clash with England in the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2022 at Adelaide Oval. The Indian team topped the Group 1 points table with four wins in five league games. In their last outing, the Rohit Sharma-led side secured a 71-run victory over Zimbabwe. The likes of Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav will be the key batters, while Arshdeep Singh and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are in-form bowlers. England, on the other hand, came second in the Group 2 points table with three wins in the league stage. They chased down the target of 142 against Sri Lanka and qualified for the knockouts. In the batting department, Jos Buttler and Alex Hales will be key players, while Mark Wood and Sam Curran will lead the bowling unit.

Best economical pick – The talented left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh has wreaked havoc in the powerplay and contained runs in the death overs. He is India’s most successful bowler with 10 wickets at an economy of 7.83.

Top captains & vice captains – Surya Kumar Yadav has been sensational with his six-hitting capabilities throughout the tournament. He has garnered 225 runs in five innings at a lavish strike rate of 193.96, and three fifties. Virat Kohli has roared back to form just at the right time and has been on a roll throughout this T20 World Cup. He has scored three-match winning half-centuries and also bagged a couple of Player of the Match awards. The batting megastar has amassed 246 runs from five matches and will be looking for more challenges in the knockout phase.

Smart pick – The Indian batters need to be very cautious of Sam Curran’s bowling abilities as he has been the most consistent bowler for England in this competition. The youngster has the potential to take the game away from the opposition with his impactful spells and has so far registered 10 scalps to his name from the four matches that he got to feature in.

Cautious Pick – The Indian bowling all-rounder Axar Patel has not been quite effective in terms of his contribution. He has only three wickets in four games at an economy of 9.10 and scored nine runs with the willow.

My XI – Surya Kumar Yadav (Captain), Virat Kohli (Vice-Captain), Sam Curran, Arshdeep Singh, Bhuvneswar Kumar, Mark Wood, Harry Brook, Alex Hales, Jos Buttler, Chris Woakes, Philip Salt
