India vs Bangladesh on November 7

Bangladesh sort of stunned India in Delhi where they registered their maiden T20I win over the Indian team in their 9th attempt. This helped the Bangla team to take a 1-0 lead in the 3-match series. This will now put extra pressure on India who hasn’t got favorable results in the T20I format recently. Their home record in this format this year has been disastrous as they won only one of the five matches. India is already suffering big in T20Is due to its outdated batting approach. The aggressive batters KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant left their natural game due to pressure from management. On the other hand, Bangladesh will look to win at least one of the next two matches. This will help Bangladesh in gaining a lot of confidence as a series win without both Tamim and Shakib was never imagined.

Best economical pickShreyas Iyer is the incumbent no.4 for Team India and should be given a long rope for him to settle and instill confidence in him. He has the confidence of the captain, coach and selectors, and would be looking forward to making the most of the opportunities presented to him.

Top captains & vice captains – Bangladesh needed 22 runs off the last two overs to win the match. An economical penultimate over by Khaleel Ahmed could have tipped the scales in India's favor. However, things went downhill for Rohit Sharma's side as Mushfiqur Rahim launched an all-out attack on Khaleel, hitting hit him for four consecutive boundaries and scoring 18 runs from the over. The captain of the side, one of the best batsman in the world Rohit Sharma will once again be expected to score some centuries in the series. And with many other good batsmen in the team already, Rohit can score big without pressure.

Smart pick – Yuzvendra Chahal returned with match figures of 4-0-24-1 in Delhi. He would have conceded fewer runs and bagged more wickets had the two reviews and a dropped chance gone in his favour. The RCB leg-spinner troubled all the Bangladeshi batsmen and would be itching to have a bowl at them again. His variations make the 29-year-old effective even on the flattest of surfaces.

Cautious Pick – Khaleel Ahmed, the left-arm quick was preferred ahead of Shardul Thakur in the opening T20I of the series. Khaleel's match figures read 4-0-37-1. He was flogged by Mushfiqur Rahim for 4 fours off consecutive deliveries. He erred in his lines and lengths, and this cost the team. Shardul Thakur should ideally replace him as he has better control in his lines and lengths.

My XI – Mushfiqur Rahim (Captain), Rohit Sharma (Vice-Captain), Y Chahal, Shreyas Iyer, Soumya Sarkar, Mustafizur Rahman, Deepak Chahar, Mahmudullah, Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant, Lokesh Rahul
