India vs Australia on March 9

India will be hosting Australia in the fourth and last Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium starting on March 9. After disappointing defeats in the first two matches, the traveling side pulled off a dominating nine-wicket win in the third Test in Indore. The Indian team was collapsed on just 109 and 163 with Cheteshawar Pujara top-scoring with 59 runs in the second innings. Matthew Kunhemann took five wickets in the first innings and Nathan Lyon shone with eight wickets. Usman Khawaja top-scored with 60 runs in the first innings to help Australia score 197 runs while Travis Head smashed 49* off 53 while chasing a 76-run target in the second innings. Steve Smith is expected lead the team again with Pat Cummins still unavailable for a team selection.

Best economical pick – The star Australian batter Travis Head opened an innings in the last match in the absence of David Warner and smashed a match-winning knock of 49* off 53 balls to guide his team to a dominating win.

Top captains & vice captains – The veteran spin all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been in sensational form in this series so far. He took four wickets in the first innings of the last match and is leading the bowling chart with 21 wickets from three Tests. The in-form Australian spinner Nathan Lyon bowled a sensational spell of 8 for 64 in the second innings of the last match and also won the Player of the Match award. He has taken 19 wickets from three matches in this series so far.

Smart pick – The star Australian batter Steve Smith scored crucial 26 runs in the first innings and didn't get a chance to bat in the second innings. Smith has scored just 97 runs from three matches in this series so far but remains one of the best batters across formats.

Cautious Pick – The experienced Indian pacer Umesh Yadav took three wickets across two innings in the last match and has taken just 10 wickets from his last six Test innings.

My XI – Ravindra Jadeja (Captain), Nathan Lyon (Vice-Captain), Travis Head, Steve Smith, Shubman Gill, Alex Carey, Todd Murphy, Matthew Kuhnemann, Marnus Labuschagne, Rohit Sharma, Ravi Ashwin
