Hyderabad vs Rajasthan on March 23

Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Rajasthan Royals in the second match of the Indian Premier League. This match will be played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. 74 matches will be played across 13 cities over the next two months as the IPL fever kicks off. Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator will be played in Hyderabad on May 20 and 21, respectively. Qualifier 2, on May 23, and the final, on May 25, will be in Kolkata. Sunisers Hyderabad were the record breakers in the previous edition as they went past the 270-run mark quite a few times. They lost in the Final to Kolkata Knight Riders and ended up as the runners-up. They have further strengthened their batting with the addition of Ishan Kishan. Pat Cummins will lead the side and they once again have a destructive batting order. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals have retained most of their players but let go Jos Buttler. They picked up Jofra Archer and the Sri Lankan spin twins Theekshana and Hasaranga. Sanju Samson will lead the side this season but due to an injury he will play as impact player in the initial three games where Riyan Parag will captain. This promises to be a thrilling match.

Best economical pick Yashasvi Jaiswal will open the batting and scored 435 runs in 15 matches in the previous edition. He will be a handy budget pick for this match..

Top captains & vice captains – As RR's captain, Sanju Samson has consistently led from the front. In the 2024 season, he scored 521 runs in 15 matches, including five half-centuries. His experience and leadership make him a reliable choice for the captaincy.  Travis Head's explosive batting at the top of the order has been instrumental for SRH. His ability to provide quick starts and convert them into substantial scores makes him a valuable fantasy pick. Providing explosive starts and converting them into big scores can lead to substantial fantasy points.

Smart pick Heinrich Klaasen has been one of the standout players for SRH in recent seasons, and he could be a fantastic pick for your fantasy team. Klaasen is a middle-order batsman known for his ability to play aggressive yet calculated innings. He has the ability to accelerate during the death overs, which makes him an ideal candidate to rack up fantasy points. His ability to rotate the strike and find boundaries, especially in pressure situations, adds value to his fantasy potential.

Cautious Pick RiyanParag has been quite inconsistent, especially with the bat. He often bats in the lower order and doesn't always get enough balls to make an impact. Limited opportunities to score runs, and he may not bowl enough to add fantasy points through wickets.

My XI – Sanju Samson (Captain), Travis Head (Vice-Captain), Heinrich Klaasen, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Mohammed Shami, Abhishek Sharma, Pat Cummins, Ishan Kishan, Jofra Archer, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Nitish Rana
