Delhi Capitals, from being one of the strongest contenders to make the Indian Premier League 2020 playoffs, now find themselves in a must-win scenario. The Shreyas Iyer-led unit is next scheduled to lock horns with the Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday, November 2 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. If DC wins the game, they will make their way to the playoffs. If they don’t, they will have to depend on other results to go in their favor. As far as RCB are concerned, even they are in a bit of a hole, having lost their previous game to David Warner’s Sunrisers Hyderabad in Sharjah.

Best economical pick – Young Devdutt Padikkal made a head start to the IPL 2020 with a fine half-century.  The southpaw has the ability to score quick runs and find the boundaries. He will look for consistency in his batting approach and give his side a solid start at top of the order.

Top captains & vice captains – AB de Villiers can pummel any bowling attack on his given day and he is an absolute delight to watch when in his full rhythm. But this time around, while has tasted a fair bit of success, he has thrown away a few good starts. Even in the last game, he looked good for his 24 runs before getting out to Shahbaz Nadeem. The Pretoria-born would be looking to weave his magic and get a big score. Shikhar Dhawan is currently the leading run-scorer for the Capitals in the T20 tournament. Having scored a couple of centuries on the trot, he has looked a class apart from his teammates. However, he failed in the last three matches and it could dampen his spirits a wee bit. But bearing in mind the class he possesses, the left-hander is expected to come into his own in the Capitals’ next game.

Smart pick – Kagiso Rabada’s high-quality pace bowling brought Delhi Capitals in the top four spots. Rabada has picked 23 wickets at an economy of 8.19 and is a strong contender for the purple cap. With the team disintegrating, Rabada too has gone wicketless in the last couple of games.

Cautious Pick – Shimron Hetmyer might face the axe as Delhi look to put some stability in their middle-order. More than a basher of the cricket ball, the Capitals need someone to hold the fall of wickets and take the team to a respectable total. Carey in the past couple of years has played that kind of role for Australia. Apart from being solid in the middle-overs, he is capable of hitting sixes as well.
