CricBattle Daily Fantasy Cricket League Tips

Bangalore vs Punjab on March 25

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be taking on Punjab Kings in the 6th match of the IPL 2024. In the 17th edition of the league, the three-time runner-ups will be up against a team that is looking for a change in fortunes in the league. While RCB have been able to perform well in the last four seasons, it has been a while since PBKS last qualified for the playoffs of a season.2014 was undoubtedly the best season of PBKS in the league. It was the last instance of them qualifying for the playoffs of a season. In 2024, they would be hoping to improve their record and hopefully win the trophy for the first time. They had a good start to the season by beating DC by six wickets. In their second match, PBKS will be facing RCB in their own backyard. The match is set to take place on March 25 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. RCB did not have a great start to the season in the IPL 2024. They lost to CSK in their fortress by six wickets. The game against PBKS would be important for them as it will be the first home game for the 2016 runner-ups. Both the teams have some of the best players in the world, like Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Faf Du Plessis, Cameron Green, Mohammad Siraj, Shikhar Dhawan, Sam Curran, Arshdeep Singh, Kagiso Rabada, and so on.

Best economical pick Shashank Singh did not get an opportunity to bat in the first game against DC. However, he claimed a brilliant catch to get rid of Tristan Stubbs. Come the game against RCB, he could be required as a batter lower down the order.

Top captains & vice captains – Faf Du Plessis gave a blazing start to RCB in the game against CSK. While the visiting side could not win the match, Faf was impressive. Since 2023, he has been incredible at the top, which is likely to continue in the IPL 2024. Shikar Dhawan is one such batter who has been consistent as a batter almost every season. The experienced batter looks to be the same in the ongoing season too. Given the nature of the wicket, one can expect him to be aggressive as well.

Smart pick – Glenn Maxwell was dismissed for a golden duck in the game against CSK. The star batter would love to make a comeback at home where the fans would be cheering him to score runs. If required, the experienced player can step up with the ball too.

Cautious Pick – Karn Sharma is woefully out of form in the last few seasons. The leg-spinner had a bad game against CSK and did not bowl well even on a spin friendly wicket. At Bengaluru, it is very risky to consider him in the team.

My XI – Faf du Plessis (Captain), Shikhar Dhawan (Vice-Captain), Shashank Singh, Glenn Maxwell, Arshdeep Singh, Jonny Bairstow, Virat Kohli, Liam Livingstone, Cameron Green, Kagiso Rabada, Sam Curran
