CricBattle Daily Fantasy Cricket League Tips

Bangalore vs Gujarat on May 21

Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on Gujarat Titans in the 70th match of the Indian Premier League 2023 on Sunday at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. RCB have won seven out of 13 games and are in fourth place in the points table. GT have won nine matches and have already qualified for the playoffs. RCB defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last outing after chasing down the target of 187 runs. Heinrich Klaasen’s maiden IPL century helped SRH reach a total of 186 runs for the loss of five wickets. But the duo of Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli made a mockery out of that total as they added 172 runs for the first wicket. Kohli made his sixth IPL century and won the Player of the Match award. GT also faced SRH in their last game and posted a total of 188 runs for the loss of nine wickets while batting first. Shubman Gill played a crucial role with the bat for the defending champions as he scored his maiden IPL century. In reply, SRH could make only 154 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs and lost the game by 34 runs. Gill won the Player of the Match award for his batting performance. GT and RCB faced each other twice last season. Both teams have won one game each. RCB won the last game against GT after chasing down the target of 169 runs in 18.4 overs with eight wickets in hand.

Best economical pick – Michael Bracewell has played the last two games for RCB and has replaced Wanindu Hasaranga. Bracewell has been one of the top performers for RCB with the ball and has picked six wickets at an average of 13.16, an economy of 7.9, and a strike rate of 10.

Top captains & vice captains – South Africa international Faf du Plessis is in terrific form in the ongoing season. He has hit 702 runs in 13 matches so far and with that, the 38-year-old is the current holder of the IPL Orange Cap. He has been very consistent in the league so far and thus, the team would expect him to keep up with the good form. The 23-year-old opener Shubman Gill made his maiden IPL century in his last outing against SRH. He is the leading run-scorer for GT so far and has made 576 runs in 13 games at an average of 48 and a strike rate of 146.19.

Smart pick – Even though Chinnaswamy is going to help the batters to dominate, Afghan spinner Rashid Khan has the capability to create a lot of damage in the middle overs. He has picked up 23 wickets in 13 matches so far and with that, the 24-year-old is second in the IPL Purple Cap race.

Cautious Pick – Mahipal Lomror has made a single-digit score in three out of his last five outings and might not be the best pick for your fantasy team.

My XI – Faf du Plessis (Captain), Shubman Gill (Vice-Captain), Rashid Khan, Michael Bracewell, Wridhiman Saha, Hardik Pandya, Virat Kohli, Mohammed Siraj, Glenn Maxwell, Mohammed Shami, David Miller
