Delhi vs Hyderabad on November 8

Sunrisers Hyderabad might have had their stutters, but of late, they are on a role. After decimating table-toppers Mumbai Indians by 10 wickets in their last league game, David Warner and Co knocked Royal Challengers Bangalore out, winning the Eliminator by six wickets after being asked to chase down 132. It goes without saying the Sunrisers have peaked at the apt time. The Orange Army would be in for another must-win game, this time against the Delhi Capitals in the Qualifier 2 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, November 8. Prior to the game, SRH can take heart from the fact that they defeated Shreyas Iyer and Co both times in the league stage. The Capitals, on the other hand, would be looking to make amends after their 57-run loss to Mumbai.

Best economical pick T Natrajan, the vital cog of SunRisers Hyderabad, bowled an unplayable yorker to AB de Villiers to take the prized wicket of the Mr. 360. He also picked the wicket of Washington Sundar to finish off the game early on for them. The pacer will have to repeat a similar performance to win against DC.

Top captains & vice captains Shreyas Iyer is someone; a team can depend on without many fears. He knows the art of playing at different gears. In the ongoing edition, the youngster has 433 runs at an average and strike-rate of 30.92 and 123.36 respectively. The Capitals’ batting has shown signs of inconsistency and Iyer can’t afford to let his guard down. The SRH bowling is in excellent form and Iyer will be in for a challenging task. Kane Williamson’s calm and cool head helped SunRiser Hyderabad to take the game home in the eliminator. Although Yuzvendra Chahal and Adam Zampa created pressure with dot balls, he remained focused and scored an unbeaten 50 to be the match-winner for the side. He will play a pivotal role in the second qualifier.

Smart pick Rashid Khan has tormented the Capitals’ batters thus far in the tournament. In two games, he has had figures of 8-0-21-6 at an economy rate of 2.62. Needless to say, the DC batters have found the SRH spinner a tough nut to crack. Overall, in 15 games, the Afghanistan spinner has 19 wickets to show for his efforts. Like the DC batsmen, even the other sides have found it difficult while facing him.

Cautious Pick – Came in as the replacement of Wriddhiman Saha, Goswami played the first match of the season for SunRisers Hyderabad against RCB. He was impressive behind the stumps but was out for a duck while batting. As SRH has not updated about Saha’s availability, he has the big responsibility to fill the huge shoes of the veteran.

My XI – Shreyas Iyer (Captain), Kane Williamson (Vice-Captain), Rashid Khan, T Natarajan, Anrich Nortje, Shikhar Dhawan, David Warner, Marcus Stoinis, Rishabh Pant, Abdul Samad, Prithvi Shaw
