Kings XI Punjab 

I remember in 2008, when IPL started, this was one of my favourite teams for the Championship.They didnt disappoint at all.Ended up as the semi finalists but on a down fall from there on.

The problems at Kings XI Punjab are galore.With non-payment issues,budget cuts, lack of sponsers ,outspoken owners,This team was more in the news for non-cricket news.

During the recent years, this team looks like a secondary australian team with almost all 4 overseas players -Gilli,Hussey,Harris and Marsh.Even sitting on the bench is pomerbach (no surprise, again an australian).

Lets talk about their prospects for this year.

This year, it has one of most strongest teams on paper.

Strengths -Glen Maxwell (hero of otherwise disastrous Aus WC campaign),Mitchell Johnson -Hero of Last year's IPL and Ashes  and Punjab's very own Marsh.Marsh has been super consistent in IPL almost in contention for Orange cap for most of the years.The last slot could be filled by Miller or Bailey depending on the form.Hendricks and Perera are other picks available.Perera could also be competing for the last spot as he can struck some big blows.

Weakness-There is no player in Kings XI who can make it to world's best T20 team.Maxwell ,Johnson are the best available for them and should win them some matches on their own.Sehwag can be pretty consistent with his inconsistency .

Talks -Sehwag has struck some form in the recent T20 championships going on in India.

Sehwag,Vohra,Mandeep Singh,Gurkeerat ,Marsh(o),Maxwell(o),Johnson(o),Balaji,Awana,Saha,M,Kartik,Perera/Miller (o)

Expected Finish -Might finish in the playoffs
