South Africa vs Sri Lanka on January 12

South Africa dominated the test series so far, in the second test they save for the first session on the opening day, scoring 392 in their first innings with Dean Elgar and De Kock both getting centuries. Philander and Rabada then took four wickets each as Sri Lanka were bowled out for 110 in reply but South Africa did not enforce the follow on, batting again instead and declaring midway through the third day on 224-7. South Africa won the first test in Port Elizabeth by 206 runs and will be seeking a whitewash of the series in the third test at the Wanderers in Johannesburg from Jan. 12-16.

·         Best economical pick – In his first match in South Africa - and third overall – Lahiru Kumara collected the best-ever figures for a Sri Lanka fast bowler in the country, and also became the second-youngest Sri Lankan to claim a five-wicket haul..

·         Top captains & vice captains – In the second match, centuries from Dean Elgar and Quinton de Kock set South Africa up for a huge first innings' total. Then their bowlers did the magic and bowled out Sri Lanka for a paltry score of 110. Du Plessis then decided to bat again and Elgar once more stepped up, scoring a half century to set a target of 507 for the Islanders. And another superb all-round bowling performance saw the Lankan batsmen falter.

·       Smart pick – The 21-year-old Kagiso Rabada, who finished with figures of 6-55 and a second 10-wicket haul in a test, ran through the visiting batsmen in a fiery seven-over spell in the second test.

·         Cautions Pick – What will worry the Sri Lankan team management is the form of opening batsman Kusal Perera. He is an in and out type of Batsman who can score a loads of runs on his day and can be got out cheaply easily. So be careful before picking him in your team.

·         My XI – Dean Elgar (Captain), Quinton de Kock (Vice-Captain), Kagiso Rabada, Lahiru Kumara, Kusal Mendis, Faf du Plessis, Keshav Maharaj, Jean-Paul Duminy, Stephen Cook, Angelo Mathews, Kaushal Silva
