PAK vs WI on October 13

Pakistan will be playing their 400th test match when they face West Indies in Dubai. It will be  day night test match to be played with pink ball under the lights. West Indies is yet to get to the winning ways in this tour. After having lost the T20 and ODI series they will look for a fresh start in this test series. Pakistan may have lost their No. 1 test ranking spot but their morale is on the higher side. This day night test is still a new experience for both the teams as they will need to make some adjustments. Pakistan will be without their best batsman, Younis Khan, who is resting after recovering from dengue fever. But given their record in UAE it will need the whole West Indies team to step up to pose any threat to the Pakistani team.

Best economical pick – Roston Chase has established himself as the first choice spin bowling all-rounder in the WI team. He can be a crucial link in the lower middle order as he can contribute with his bat.

Top captains & vice captains – Babar Azam showed his talent in the ODI series with back to back three centuries which earned him the maiden test call. He will look to carry his form into the test matches. Yasir Shahis just 5 wickets away from his 100 test wicket and if he gets that in this test then he will become the joint second quickest bowler.

Smart pick – The pitch will offer much assistance to the spinners and DevendraBishoo can be effective in these conditions. He had a good warmup match in which he picked 5 wickets.

Cautions Pick – After his poor show in the test series against India, Marlon Samuels managed to get some runs in the ODI series. But given his current form it wont come as a surprise if he is left out of the playing XI.

My XI – B Azam (Captain), Y Shah (Vice-Captain), D Bravo, A Ali, K Brathwaite, M Amir, D Bishoo, R Chase, S Ahmed, J Holder, M Nawaz.
