Pakistan who have been using the Middle East as their home venue, come into this clash after having a mixed tour of England where they drew the Test matches 2-2, won the solitary T20 game and were comprehensively thrashed 4-1 in the five-match ODI series. West Indies are one of the most dangerous teams in T20 cricket and are the current world champions. Ranked No 3 in the world with 125 points, the Caribbeans come into this clash after an impressive 1-0 series win over India. The current world T20 champions are the favourites to win not only the opening game but also the three-match series.

·         Best economical pick – Samuel Badree, the leg spinner, is the ranked No.1 in the ICC T20I bowlers ranking. He has an impressive economy rate in this format though he bowls in the power plays most.

·         Top captains & vice captains – Carlos Brathwaite will lead Caribbean’s instead of World T20 winning captain Darren Sammy who is not part of the team. All-rounder Carlos Brathwaite lead team during two-match T20 series with India in USA which they won 1-0 after second game was spoiled due to rain. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), in order to build a new T20 squad for the future, installed the impressive Sarfraz Ahmed as captain and have tried to build the side around experienced players.

·         Smart pick – Pakistan has recalled middle-order batsman Umar Akmal into the T20 squad. Probably the best T20 player of this Pakistani squad. A pure hitter of cricket ball who can score runs a good strike rate will be a handy choice for any fantasy team.

·       Cautions Pick – It will be interesting to see how Marlon Samuels copes with the Pakistani pacers, considering he was dropped not too long ago as his technique was found wanting.
