·         Smart pick – Alex Hales broke Robin Smith's 23-year record for the biggest ODI score by an Englishman as the Nottinghamshire man cracked 171 from 122 balls on his home ground as the records tumbled.

·       Cautions Pick – Pakistan's bowlers toiled throughout as they floundered in the field, with Wahab Riaz finishing with figures for 110 for 0. He conceded most runs by a Pakistani bowler in odi format.
