CricBattle Daily Fantasy Football Leagues Tips:
Germany vs Italy on July 2nd
Italy made a real statement with their performance against Spain. Their 2-0 win over the reigning European champions meant that Spain had failed to score in a Euro match for the first time since 2008 (vs Italy). They are now tasked with facing the World Champions, whom they have never lost against in a major tournament (W2, D2). Germany breezed past Slovakia in their first complete performance of the tournament and this championship is their's for the taking. They are the only team that is yet to concede a goal at the tournament and it would take an almighty effort for Italy's attack to break that down.
Best economical pick – The Bayern Munich’s central defender Jerome Boateng has been rock solid so far holding the defense intact for Germany. He scored that crucial goal against Slovakia giving them the lead. He is a nice pick available at salary 8.5.
Top captains & vice captains – Germany’s main striker Thomas Muller didn’t have a great outing so far. He has just made one assist in their win against Northern Island. He is expected to score goals in this important quarter-final fixture. The Southampton’s giant Graziano Pelle had an impressive start against Belgium and then he continued his form against the mighty Spain and scored the 2nd goal for Italy in dying minutes and sealed their spot for the final 8. He is expected to counter attack against this tough German defense.
Smart pick – The VfL Wolfsburg’s mid-fielder Julian Draxler didn’t make a big impact against Ukraine and Poland. But in the absence of Mario Gotze against Slovakia he was very instrumental for Germany by scoring a goal and providing an important assist. He is a great pick for your fantasy team.
Be careful – The Arsenal’s main man Mesut Ozil has terribly failed to make any impact for Germany in this Euros and in addition to that he missed a penalty against Slovakia. He is not a wise pick for your team.
My XI – Thomas Muller (Captain), Graziano Pelle (Vice-Captain), Jerome Boateng, Jonas Hector, Mats Hummels, Emanuele Giaccherini, Julian Draxler, Marco Parolo, Manuel Neuer (GK), Mario Gomez, Mattia De Sciglio.
