India – West Indies 2nd Semi-Final cb expert advice

·         India defeated Australia in the last group game to seal India’s passage to knockout stage (Semifinal) where they will play winners of Group 1, West Indies. It will be a massive game and will be played at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on Thursday, 31st March 2016. India started the world cup with a shock defeat in the hands of New Zealand but since than they have gone from strength to strength having won three back to back group games and qualifying for the semifinals. It’s a massive game and pretty much a contest between Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli. Whoever performs on the days will most certainly guide his team to final.

  • India Playing XI - We are most likely to see the same playing XI which took the field against Australia. Due to ankle injury Yivraj Singh unable to take part in the semifinal Ajinkya Rahane or Manish Panday might replace him in playing XI.
  • West Indies Playing XI - West Indies rested number of players against Afghanistan and we can safely assume full strength team to take the field against India.

·        Best economical pick - The No.1 bowler in ICC rankings Samuel Badree has been in superb form in this tournament. He has taken 6 wickets with an economy rate of below 6 in the 4 matches of Super 10. His salary is just 9. With this salary he can give you minimum 150 points.

·        Top captains & vice captains - So far Virat Kohli has been up-to the task having scored 184 runs in 4 innings and two of those were unbeaten run chases against Pakistan and Australia. Chris Gayle on the other hand scored impressive century against England right on this pitch and he holds the key for West Indies success. He has scored 104 runs in the 2 matches he batted and took 2 crucial wickets against South Africa.

·        Smart pick – After bowling a superb last over against Bangladesh Hardik Pandya is high on confidence. After the Bangladesh match again he bowled a superb spell against Australia 2 crucial wickets in right time. He is in fine form in this WT20 so pick him in your team for sure.

·        Be careful – Shikhar Dhawan has scored just 43 runs in 4 matches in this World Cup so far. He has been in worst form of his life right now. It will be risky if you take him in your team. Percentage of failure is more if you pick him.

My XI – Virat Kohli (Captain), Chris Gayle ( Vice-Captain), Samuel Badree, Hardik Pandya, R Ashwin, J Bumrah, Ashish Nehra, Marlon Samuels, Johnson Charles, Denesh Ramdin, Dwayne Bravo
