CricBattle Daily Fantasy Cricket League Tips

South Africa vs Netherlands on November 6

South Africa will be up against the challenge of the Netherlands in Match 40 of the T20 World Cup 2022 at Adelaide Oval. It will be a must-win game for the Proteas to seal the semi-finals spot. In their last league match, South Africa could not chase a target of 142 runs in 14 overs against Pakistan and would look to come up with improved performances. The likes of Aiden Markram and Anrich Nortje will be key players. The Netherlands, on the other hand, have a single victory in four games. But they certainly hold much talent to cause an upset in this fixture and end the tournament on a positive note. In their last outing, the Netherlands chased down the target of 118 easily against Zimbabwe. The top performers have been Max O’Dowd and Paul Van Meekeren.

Best economical pick – One of the leading scorers in the tournament, Max O’Dowd has amassed 213 runs in seven innings at an average of 35.50. In the last game against Zimbabwe, he hit 52 off 47.

Top captains & vice captains – The star batting all-rounder Aiden Markram scored crucial 20 runs off 14 balls against Pakistan while chasing a big target in the last match but was not able to convert it into a big knock. Markram played a match-winning knock against India by smashing 53 runs off 41 balls and has scored 82 runs from just three innings in the tournament so far. The South African speedster Anrich Nortje took four wickets against Pakistan in the last game but conceded 41 runs. He took four wickets against Bangladesh while conceding only ten runs and is now leading the wickets chart for his team. Nortje has taken ten wickets from just four innings at an impressive economy rate of 6.22 so far.

Smart pick – Quinton De Kock has scored 111 from four matches so far in the tournament. Even though he batted at a strike rate of 173.43, the southpaw hasn’t been in his best form. He has the ability to change the complexion of a game at any given point and against the Netherlands, the 29-year-old would hope to find his mojo to help his team qualify for the semis and then to win their maiden T20 World Cup title.

Cautious Pick – The experienced all-rounder Roelof van der Merwe has not delivered well in the tournament. In five games, he has picked up only two wickets and garnered 5 runs, and should be avoided.

My XI – Aiden Markram (Captain), Anrich Nortje (Vice-Captain), Max O’Dowd, Quinton de Kock, Rilee Rossouw, Frad Klassen, Lungi Ngidi, Colin Ackerman, Bas de Leede, David Miller, Tristian Stubbs
