CricBattle Daily Fantasy Cricket League Tips

England vs Australia on September 4

Australia will begin its tour of England with the three-match T20I series. The Kangaroos are scheduled to play three T20Is and three ODIs on this tour over the next 10 days. The first T20I between these two teams is scheduled to be played on Friday at The Rose Bowl in Southampton. England has played a lot of cricket comparatively in recent times. The Brits drew the T20I series against Pakistan recently and have a good amount of match practice. However, the Australian team last played an international match way back in March 2020. Hence, they split into two teams and played a few practice games. But it will be interesting to see how they cope up with a real-match scenario. Yet, the Aussies are expected to put up a tough fight in this match.

Best economical pickAdam Zampa is having a great 2020 so far, picking up 10 wickets in ODIs and 5 wickets in T20Is. His economy rate is impressive at 4.97 and 5.89 in ODIs and T20Is respectively. The pitches of Southampton and Manchester, where Australia will play their T20 and ODI matches, have been used frequently in recent times. So the pitch conditions are expected to assist the spinners and Zampa could prove to be lethal in such circumstances.

Top captains & vice captains – England captain Eoin Morgan has firmly established himself as one of the most dangerous batsmen in the middle overs in white-ball cricket, and this is set to continue in the T20I series against Australia. Morgan has been in good form recently, and struck a 33-ball 66 in the Three Lions' win over Pakistan in the 2nd T20I. Morgan could unleash his wide range of leg-side strokes and register a massive score. Glenn Maxwell last played an international game for Australia in October 2019, but he comes into this series on the back of a hundred in an intra-squad warm-up game recently. Maxwell brought out his wide range of shots in the warm-up game, and could really attack the inexperienced England bowling line-up right from the outset. The all-rounder is also guaranteed to bowl a few overs.

Smart pick – David Warner has been in superb form since his comeback from suspension in 2019. The 33-year-old was on a smashing run before the halt in action due to COVID-19. Warner has scored two half-centuries in three T20Is in the year 2020 and has been averaging 46.17 in ODIs.

Cautious Pick – Jos Buttler didn’t do well in the three T20Is he played this year and scored only 74 runs. He can be destructive at times as well as he can get out for duck at times, so be careful before trading him in your fantasy XI.

My XI – Eoin Morgan (Captain), Glenn Maxwell (Vice-Captain), David Warner, Adam Zampa, Tom Banton, Jofra Archer, Alex Carey, Mitchell Starc, Chris Jordan, Dawid Malan, Aaron Finch
