CricBattle Daily Fantasy Cricket League Tips

Delhi vs Punjab on April 20

After losing the battle on a square turner at the Feroz Shah Kotla, the Delhi Capitals will host the Kings XI Punjab in the match 37 of the Indian Premier League on Saturday. While the visitors are coming off a brilliant victory over the Rajasthan Royals, the Capitals were thumped at home by 40 runs by the Mumbai Indians. They will have to adapt well to the surface now to get past the KXIP team. As for changes in their respective sides, Ravi Ashwin has been pretty unpredictable with his selections. Mujeeb Ur Rahman got injured in the last game and Sam Curran will most probably replace him in the line-up. For DC, it will be about getting their combinations right and Sandeep Lamichhane might return at the expense of Keemo Paul. Sandeep should’ve played on a rank turner the other day. The pitch is expected to be a square turner again and pick as many spinners as you can in your Cricbattle fantasy team.

Best economical pickSam Curran (4/11) was KXIP's key striker in the reverse fixture against the same opponents, as he bowled a match changing spell to turn the game in the Kings favour, and the all-rounder will be eager to replicate his show on Saturday.

Top captains & vice captains – Chris Gayle has been in great form in the last few games. He’s got a decent break before this encounter and should’ve worked on his niggles. Playing on the surface like the one at Kotla, the management is likely to give him the licence to go after the bowling as soon as he steps on the pitch.

It gets more difficult to bat as the ball gets out and that is when someone like KL Rahul will come into the game. He is expected to bat all the 20 overs and put his side in a good position. If Gayle can get off the blocks quickly, Rahul will have the luxury of taking some time to get his eye in.

Smart pick – Kagiso Rabada continues to solidify his command over the Purple table with 19 wickets and is likely to conquer the Kings with his tidy yorkers. While Chris Morris with 11 wickets is there next best striker and his spell will be crucial for the hosts.

Cautious Pick – Mayank Agarwal is one of those players who has highly disappointed thus far in this season. He is in good form and is timing the ball exceptionally well. But his shot selection has been slightly questionable. He’s tried to hit big shots even in situations where there was no real requirement. Agarwal must look to spend maximum time in the middle and take his innings deep.

My XI – Chris Gayle (Captain), KL Rahul (Vice-Captain), Sam Curran, Kagiso Rabada, Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Mohammed Shami, Ravichandran Ashwin, Murugan Ashwin, Arshdeep Singh, Chris Morris
