England vs South Africa on June 21

After an early exit from Champions Trophy South Africa will take on England in a 3 match T20 series starting from June 21. Earlier to Champions Trophy England defeated South Africa in the ODI series by 2-1. South Africa is now at 6th position of ICC T20 rankings. They will look to take revenge of ODI series defeat by winning this series. In the other hand England, Having lost to the Champions Trophy Semifinal to Pakistan rested their main players for this T20 series. England is now placed at 3rd position in ICC T20 rankings. AB De Villiers will lead South Africa instead of Faf du Plessis, who has returned home, following South Africa's group-stage exit from the Champions Trophy, to attend the birth of his first child. Test players Hashim Amla, Quinton de Kock, JP Duminy and Kagiso Rabada have all been rested for the Twenty20 series as South Africa try to make sure their key players remain fresh on a lengthy three-month tour of England.

·         Best economical pick – The South African All Rounder Chris Morris has an average Champions Trophy with 52 runs and just 2 wickets to his name before coming to this T20 series.

·         Top captains & vice captains – England Skipper Eoin Morgan had a great Champions Trophy before coming to this series. He has scored 133 runs in 4 matches of Champions Trophy. He is naturally aggressive as a batsman and backs his instinct during adverse times as well and it provided rich dividends in the last game. The left-hander will have to again stand up and build an innings at No. 4 to give his side a perfect platform to surge towards the end. Because England’s top order is in outstanding form, Jos Buttler hasn’t got much of a hit in the Champions Trophy. In whatever time he has got in the middle in the tournament, Buttler has done reasonably well scoring 61* and 29*. Buttler is a big striker of the ball and can be handy during the latter parts of an innings.

·         Smart pick – Imran Tahir would be designated as the danger man from the South African bowling attack as far as England is concerned. He has an average Champions Trophy where he picked up 5 wickets in 3 matches with a good average and economy rate before coming to the T20 series.

·         Cautious Pick – Farhaan Behardien played the 2nd ODI against England and he was the main reason behind that defeat of South Africa against England. His innings 17 runs from 25 balls was criminal. It absolutely cost them the game.

My XI – Eoin Morgan (Captain), Jos Buttler (Vice-Captain), Imran Tahir, Chris Morris, Alex Hales, David Miller, Mark Wood, Wayne Parnell, Liam Plunkett, AB de Villiers, Dwaine Pretorius
